Researching the Salem Witch Trials
Arthur Miller's play The Crucible is set in Salem massachusetts during the witch trials of 1692. Miller uses characters from the historical witch trials in his play.

1. Select a character from the following list and research his/her role in the actual Salem Witch Trials.
2. Fill out the distributed chart - making sure you cite your sources.
3. Write a biography of your chosen character using proper in-text citations - you must integrate two direct quotations from your research into your paragraph AND you must cite any
paraphrases of information you use in your paragraph. (Basically, you have to take your information from your chart and put it into a coherent paragraph describing your character).
4. Create a works cited page (you can use the Noodletools site available on the library website)

You must use AT LEAST TWO sources, one of your sources must be from the databases available through the library website.
